We searched hard for a partner organisation that would help us to support women advance in their careers and one that had representation throughout the EMEA region. Additionally, we wanted a partner that offered resources both for men and women, so we could equip our male colleagues with the tools to become allies. I was honoured to win the Leader of the Year award at the everywoman in Technology Awards a few years ago, which was my first interaction with this amazing organisation. It’s a community made up of many organisations and advocates for women in STEM. The Everywoman platform has a vast amount of learning resources available to everyone plus an annual awards programme which celebrates some of the amazing women in the industry. Through Bupa’s strong relationship with Everywoman, we’ve been able to develop the fantastic resources and support that we offer to our people.
It was great for everywoman for to create a space for the discussion of the opportunities and challenges faced by the Risk sector. The attendees from Revolut enjoyed the event. Lastly, I really admire how everywoman has created a necessary and important environment for women in the Risk sector to not only network with each other, but to also feel inspired and emboldened by each other.
EY has worked with everywoman for many years now and I have watched them grow from a UK focussed business to becoming a global player. This was a key consideration for partnering with them as our EMEIA Area covers 98 countries across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. When we initially worked with them, we targeted women that were committed to pursuing their own personal development. We then launched an Area wide Womens Leadership Programme and we signed up everywomen to be a strategic partner as part of our virtual offering across all ranks. We value the regular reporting that we get, the relationship management and the variety on offer – something for everyone. Most of all we value everywoman’s willingness to accommodate our needs, particularly a request to make all webinars accessible by sub titling them.

A British entrepreneur who founded the optical and audiology business Specsavers with her husband Doug, who she met when they were both studying to become optometrists at Cardiff University in the 60s. She still plays an active role in the company and is passionate about driving customer service standards, championing values and shaping corporate responsibility. Dame Mary is involved with a number of national and international charities, including Modern Muse, a charity founded by everywoman that inspires and empowers girls to make more informed career decisions. She was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2007 for her services to business and the community. She is also a Liveryman of Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers and a Freeman of the City of London.
Our vision at BP, to engage more girls and women into STEM careers, is being elevated by our partnership with everywoman and the Modern Muse project, which will promote the fantastic careers of. I was one of three girls on my computing course at university and, whilst the gender imbalance was barely noticed there, I have discovered that being a female out in the industry can be a different story. It's important that we continue to address this issue and I'm proud to be a part of that movement.
Across Experian we have the everywoman capability available to all our offices worldwide. We have consistently polled for feedback and have found that while usage and themes of focus may vary there is a consistent level of value and appreciation that our teams achieve through the everywoman membership. We have focus groups and grass roots brown bag sessions regularly using everywoman content from Bulgaria to the USA and Malaysia - and extremely positive individual endorsements as well. Initially there was some concern that it would be uk centric but we have found that this is not the case and have as a result continued our global subscription for several years. Based on recent feedback this is likely to continue!
Partnering in the everywoman events programme has enabled us to have a different and more engaging conversation with our customers.
I believe it's vital to nurture female talent as some of the most innovative businesses are started or run by women; through Club I hope I am able to contribute to initiatives that support this.

The everywoman community is rare and unique in its capacity to bring powerful women together who really do 'walk the talk'. Through everywoman, we are positively driving new thinking in UK plc, and I love being part of creating meaningful change!
