Top tips
- Being honest with yourself about what you want, what you can support and sometimes being prepared to take a leap of faith outside your comfort zone and knowing that whilst that initial learning experience will be tough, it will ultimately be the time when you will learn and grow.
- Its not about what you know but being able to harness the collective power of your teams, setting clear tramlines to operate in, and communicating as much as you can so that everybody understands whether we are delivering what we expected.
- Don’t look back and don’t look too far forward – take each day in turn and it becomes so much easier to chip away at things and not become overwhelmed.
- Communication is important. You can’t do enough of it particularly the informal kind!
- Don’t make it about the small talk. Find some likely common interest, ask questions and listen.
- Be yourself – always……and the brand will follow.
