Jayashree is the Global Head of Regulatory Portfolio Management for Standard Chartered Bank, responsible for delivery of technical Regulatory projects across the global footprint. She is a senior leader & a member of the Technology Management team for India.

Ranked 15th in the global list of Future Leaders by Financial Times in 2018, she is a known face in the Banking Technology industry with experience in FMCG and Banking Technology. She heads the D & I program for Standard Chartered Bank Technology and has driven programs for removing gender bias and is also mentoring a national player for Wheelchair Basketball.

Jayashree has presented her views in many industry forums like eWit, World Bank D & I seminar, NASSCOM and IMO Summit. She’s also a prominent member/speaker in the Confederation of Indian Industry – CTO Forum. 

With management studies from IIM, Bangalore and a degree in Physics, she is passionate about bringing change, challenging status quo and disdains mediocrity! Hobbies include adventure sports and wildlife.

  • Walk the Talk: Leadership is inspirational. It is about motivating the team to do what’s needed because they want to do it, not because they ‘have’ to do it. Lead by example. Remember, you are being watched all the time; be your best.
  • Power of Communication: Effective communicators make great leaders. Communication is a two way street and it is not enough to be great at expressing views; these must be understood clearly as well. Listen. Make yourself a person people want to listen to.

  • Be Relevant: Acquire new skills, new relationships or simply by keep abreast of the world’s progress, Information is a key asset. Don’t get obsolete, don’t let the world pass you by.

  • You, the Brand: Understand who you are and how you want others to remember you as – this is you, the brand. Building your brand consciously, consistently and honestly makes you predictable, reliable…and remember, the world loves well mannered dependable souls! Be a legend.

  • Connect for good: Understand the power of multiplied linking. You just can’t make everything happen on your own; so make associations, make friends – use every opportunity, every tool to do that. You just don’t know who your next good luck charm could be!
