International Women in Engineering Day 2023

International Women's Engineering Day 2023 presents a remarkable occasion for individuals worldwide to elevate the prominence of women in the field of engineering. It serves as a platform to direct attention towards the incredible career prospects awaiting girls in this thrilling industry. The day is a celebration of the remarkable and continuous accomplishments of women engineers across the globe!

Capgemini Platform Engineer Pi Unnerup has taken an unconventional path through tech — from arriving with an arts degree, to choosing the multi-functional team experience of a start-up. Evolving work cultures to help women celebrate their success more openly is one of Cheryl Clifford’s driving passions. Alongside her role leading Amazon Business’ Professional Services teams across the UK, France and Spain, she runs monthly ‘IamRemarkable’ workshops to support employees to tap into their own power and to be prouder and louder about their achievements. She talks about the importance of creating new expectations around celebrating success and why women need to stop comparing themselves and say ‘I am remarkable’ more often.

With women making up 36% of its global workforce, Lenovo is ahead of the curve when it comes to diversity in the tech sector. Still, the business continues to push hard to put equality and inclusion front and centre as it builds a technology brand fit for the future.

The Women in Lenovo employee resource group is a key element of that – bringing together women to develop their talents and provide a supportive space as they grow their careers within this exciting industry. We talked to one of its members, Ana Maloskova, Program Manager, Global Sales LnD, about the importance of the everywoman partnership for driving a forward-looking DE&I agenda.
