An Independent Director on multiple boards, Dr Anita Shantaram has over 30 years of corporate training and teaching experience. She has completed her PhD titled ‘Ethical Business Practices and Corporate Financial Performance: An Empirical Analysis’ from BITS Pilani in 2015 and soon thereafter founded Ethics India, which has since been acquired by Legasis Services.

Dr Shantaram has set up an online certification platform which has courses in the GRACE (Governance, Risk Assurance, Compliance and Ethics) area. A post-graduate in Industrial Psychology, Bombay University, 1990, Dr Anita Shantaram has received the Outstanding Teacher Award in the area of Business Ethics by the Higher Education Forum in 2013.

She has been guest faculty to various Management Institutes and has conducted 1500+ workshops in India, Dubai and Jordan for organisations such as Larsen and Toubro, the Tata Group, IDBI, Motorola, Great Eastern Shipping, MUST Garments, Utmost Group and Intertec Systems among others.

She conducts Ethics Audits and helps organisations set up E&C programs, has been an external member for POSH, and has also been on the Academic Advisory Board of several institutes.

Dr Anita Shantaram regularly writes on the subject of Business Ethics, and has published seven papers on the topic. She has also been Rotary Club President and held various Club and District positions.
