ICT Governance & Compliance Lead, Imperial College London

Tom is ICT Governance & Compliance Lead for Imperial College London, which was ranked 6th in Europe by ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities) in 2022, he leads on ICT Data Protection and ISO Compliance, Risk Management and Digital Accessibility throughout Imperial’s evolving technical landscape. Previous to this he led Imperial’s ICT Customer Relationship team who acted as relationship manager between ICT and the faculties.

Former Chief Customer Officer of the Service Desk Institute (SDI) where he was responsible for all customer relationships and steering members through SDI’s IT Service Desk Certification Programme and Judged SDIs Service Desk Analyst of the Year award.

Tom started his IT career with Manpower IT, the IT division of staffing solutions company Manpower Group and went on to set up the IT Division of Interaction Recruitment, an independent Recruitment Business operating through a network of 25 locations. He helped build IT Service Delivery teams for Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press and Leidos.
