Austin Sheppard is Senior Vice President ad interim of Booking.com’s Trips Business Unit, which is “everything but the stay” – flights, rental cars, airport taxis, attractions, and insurance.

Austin joined Booking.com in May 2021 as VP Engineering, after three years with online ticket exchange platform StubHub, where he was initially Global Head of Engineering and Technical Operations before becoming Chief Technology Officer in April 2020. Austin is a long tenured alumnus of Amazon.com – an organization where customer obsession is the core of its culture.

He has held general management, software development, engineering and product roles across North America, Asia and Europe during a career spanning 25 years. He is originally from the US, spent 10 years living in China, and has now been in the UK since joining Booking in 2021. He loves travel and considers himself a citizen of the world.
