Zara joined the British Army at 17. She passed out of AFC Harrogate in September 2020 after completing the Junior soldier short course. On completion of basic training, Zara attended 11 (RSS) Signal Regiment, completing her trade training to become an Information service engineer. Joining the British Army was always an aspiration, as Zara enjoys sports and adventure. Being able to join the Royal Signals meant that she could develop technically, whilst still having the exciting opportunities the army provides.
