Joanne is a chartered civil engineer with over 15 years of experience in the rail industry, specialising in delivering engineering solutions and driving continuous improvement in asset management. Currently, Joanne holds the position of leading asset management planning for HS1, where she is dedicated to introducing cost efficiencies that will support customer growth. In the past, Joanne successfully managed the delivery of the LU Long Term Investment Plan, adapting it to accommodate the sudden financial changes caused by the Covid pandemic while ensuring a strong connection to outcome metrics. She has a strong interest in the digital transformation of asset management and has led several R&D trials in this area.

Being a member of Women in Rail, Joanne actively participates in mentoring apprentices and graduates, guiding them through the chartership process and offering support.
