Globally recognised for its celebration of women, Needle & Thread was founded by Hannah Coffin in 2013. Needle & Thread’s designs have gained a dedicated following, including the British Royal Family and Hollywood’s elite. The brand celebrates surface decoration and femininity through contemporary pieces that feel special to wear.  

The seeds of the brand were sewn in Coffin’s childhood, when she was taught how to sew by her grandmother. Coffin spent over decade in the fashion industry before following her childhood dream of launching her own brand. 

Needle & Thread was awarded the Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury, in acknowledgement of its shift towards responsible sourcing and a more sustainable future. Coffin now produces 80 – 90% of her collections using recycled materials.  

The brand has also won a place on the renowned Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list. 

Award-winning businesswoman, respected fashion designer and female entrepreneur, Coffin is also involved with a number of philanthropic enterprises. The brand has formed meaningful partnerships with The Prince’s Trust, Save The Children and Women for Women International.  

Creatively, Coffin’s designs continue to corner the contemporary sector. Her inspiration remains rooted in nature, complemented by a passion for antique textiles and a love affair with museums.
