Kavya Kartik is a Visiting Senior Researcher (Gender and AI) at the Ada Lovelace Institute. Her research broadly aims to examine the interplay between gender and AI, assessing how AI systems shape and in turn are shaped by gender-based oppression. Kavya has an LLM from Cambridge University, and was previously Assistant Director of the Centre for Justice, Law and Society in India. Her work there focused primarily on reproductive rights, trans rights, gender justice and public policy interventions in related areas.
