Dr Nimisha Kumari

ESA/AURA Astronomer, James Webb Space Telescope, Space Telescope Science Institute

As an ESA/AURA astronomer, Dr Nimisha Kumari divides her time between working with the James Webb Space Telescope team and conducting cutting edge research.

Nimisha’s research is focuses on questions related to galaxy formation and evolution, looking at chemical abundances, star-formation and gas-dynamics.

She completed her PhD in Astronomy at the University of Cambridge in October 2018. She is passionate about making education and astronomy available to children and students, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds, and has been a part of several outreach efforts
