So says TechHub Founder and CEO Elizabeth Varley, talking tech and diversity, and about how she feels that being asked regularly about being a “woman in tech” may actually perpetuate the problem. “I’m all for recognising the challenges and helping to overcome them, but one of the ways to do that is to be looking at women, people of colour and disabled people as business leaders – talk to them about business, about their ideas – instead of focusing on what makes them different.”
