Podcast: Living a life without limits: how Caroline Casey took on the world on her terms

Caroline Casey, founder of The Valuable 500 campaign

We talk to Caroline Casey, founder of The Valuable 500 campaign, about the need for disability role models in business.

Inclusive business campaigner, social entrepreneur and self-confessed ‘dangerous dreamer’, Caroline Casey has always lived a life without limits – from finding out she was legally blind only at the age of 17 years old, to her decision at 28 to leave her job and trek across India solo on an elephant to raise inclusivity awareness. Now the founder of the Valuable 500 campaign, launched this year, wants to release the social and economic potential of the 1.3 billion people in the world with a disability. We talk to her about why a disability is only one part of anyone’s challenges – or their potential – and why she’s inviting 500 of the world’s biggest CEOs to commit to putting the issue on their board agenda.

Following the recording of this podcast, Janet Riccio, Executive Vice President of Omnicom, founding Valuable 500 leader and avid supporter – whom Caroline spoke of in this interview – sadly passed away..
