Inclusive Leader Certificate
Purpose
A one-day workshop delivered over two half day sessions for leaders to work on the behaviours that contribute towards inclusive leadership. Putting the “I” into inclusion by taking small nudges that make a biggest difference to being an inclusive leader. The workshop will work with the concept of nudges:
- Framing nudges – changing the way we think, altering our frame and outlook, challenging our bias and perceptions
- Feeling nudges – Imagining what it feels like not to be included to drive action in self
- Process nudges – putting in place designs to drive inclusivity
Outcomes
To be in a place where leaders:
- Are clear about whether and how their current outlook and day to day behaviour drives inclusion
- Are clear and confident in taking different types of nudges that drive inclusivity
- Hold self and others to account for shifting the dial on inclusion
Approach
The style of the workshop will be interactive and use the form of polls, break out groups, chat box, video links as well as encourage individual reflection. There will also be one ask made of individuals prior to coming along to the workshop to drive greater value in conversations with other delegates.

Pre-Conference workshop: Raising the bar on purpose
It’s no secret what purpose can do for your business. Research shows a shared purpose fosters feelings of belonging: a critical ingredient in building truly inclusive workplaces. Done right, purpose is also a driver of engagement, productivity, innovation, and appetite for change.
So what does it take to get there?
This practical 90 minute session by businessfourzero will share experience and insight in shaping and embedding powerful purposes for some of the biggest businesses in the world – including Tesco, Aviva, Reckitt, Bain Capital – and help you understand how and where to do that in your organisation so that purpose is:
- integrated with strategy, making commercial and ESG progress are one and the same
- harnessed to shape your culture and change your business from the inside out
- hardwired into your critical processes so it becomes inevitable
This session will be led by Kate Boydell (Partner) and Emily Kendall (Lead Consultant) from businessfourzero.
Businessfourzero is a transformation company dedicated to purpose driven change. We specialise in purpose, strategy, culture, leadership and engagement – and connecting the dots in between. Our clients include Tesco, Bain Capital, Electronic Arts, BP, IHG and John Lewis.

Counterfactual thinking – women
Come along to a thought-provoking session with counter-factual thinker and author, Vandana Saxena OBE, which is designed to get your grey matter going! For thousands of years, it appears from records that 80% of history, religion, scientific achievement, and legislation have been written by men, about men, and often for men. Understanding that each gender has different characteristics, it means that despite having 50% females in the world, societal ways and thinking have been predominantly shaped by men. If the situation had been reversed, what would the world look like? And consequently, how would society have evolved and what would our societal ways and thinking now be like?
