About the awards
The everywoman in Travel Awards celebrate inspirational women at all stages of their career and uncover role models to help encourage more women and young girls to consider a career in the travel industry.
Challenging trading conditions bring opportunities for industry stars to shine and these awards are all about celebrating individuals who are making a positive impact on their organisations. Women comprise 50% of society and businesses will only thrive if they reflect their customer base. In the face of adversity, gender diversity is crucial to ensure a balanced response and a swift recovery in addition to innovation and future proofing.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The everywoman in Travel Awards are for those who possess the qualities, attitude, hard work ethic and commitment to supporting other women that makes them a credit to the industry and the organisations they work for. They are the talented women who have exceeded expectations as well as inspired success in others.
Pioneer of the Year - A special recognition Award to honour a female travel pioneer whose wanderlust has inspired others to broaden their travel horizons. This particular category is voted by Telegraph Readers, and the winner of the Award is selected by the public vote.
One to Watch - Awarded to a young game-changer under the age of 25 in education or an apprenticeship who demonstrates a passion for the travel industry.
Tomorrow’s Leader – Awarded to a woman under 30, making a significant contribution to the future of the sector
Entrepreneur – Awarded to an owner/operator of a travel business that has been operating for three years or more, whose vision will inspire other women to start their own enterprise.
Above & Beyond – Awarded to a woman at any stage of her career that has truly gone above and beyond her role to help drive the organisation's success.
Team Leader – Awarded to a woman whose team leadership has greatly contributed to the organisation’s success.
Executive Leader – Awarded to a woman making a significant direct financial contribution to the commercial success of the business.
Leader of Change – Awarded to a woman who is making a significant contribution towards the strategic direction of the business, through best practices, employee engagement, improved productivity and innovation.
International Inspiration – Awarded to a woman working outside of the UK & Ireland that is a role model for women in her community.
Male Agent of Change – Awarded to a man for his active commitment to advancing the progress of women working in travel.
Sustainability Leader – Awarded to a woman who is making a significant contribution to reducing the impact of travel on the environment, either by making changes within their company or through their customers and product offerings.
Disruptor Award – Awarded to a woman who is challenging the status quo, in an unconventional and innovative way.
