Gemma joined BGF as an investor in August 2013, having spent the previous four years working in private equity. Gemma’s main focus is on originating new deals across these regions. She has been involved in transacting deals across all sectors from healthcare, waste management, IT services, manufacturing, e-commerce to luxury handbags. As part of BGF’s drive to support more female entrepreneurs, Gemma was actively involved in the Scottish Government’s initiative, Pathways Forward, which is focused on dramatically increasing female participation and growth in entrepreneurship in Scotland.
