Top tips

  •  CAREER PROGRESSION: Never be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone, you will grow from it. Work with positive people who support and sponsor you.

  • LEADERSHIP: Know who you are and bring yourself to work. Be authentic, it engenders greater trust and healthier, stronger business relationships.

  • RESILIENCE: Extremely important especially in a male dominant space. If at first, you don’t succeed, don’t worry, try again. Timing is key.

  • NETWORKING: Don’t be a wallflower, build relationships and let people know who you are and what you bring to the organisation. Easier said than done for most of us I know, but it is important, and it does pay dividends.

  • PERSONAL BRAND: Do what you say you will and don’t be afraid to have a voice and challenge. Not everyone knows what you know and not everyone sees what you see.
