At the end of 2012 in conjunction with Alexander Mann Solutions, we commissioned a comprehensive UK focused research study to look into the factors affecting female middle managers advancement into more senior level roles. We surveyed a representative cross section of UK based female middle managers and HR leaders in the same organisations to delve into any differing perceptions within these two key groups. The ‘Focus on the Pipeline’ report threw up disparate views around ambition, and informed on how to better engage the full potential of the female middle manager pipelines.
