With a staggering one in eight people working within the transport and logistics industry (source: Skills for Logistics), there's never been a better chance to champion role models and show other women what vast opportunity there is in this diverse industry.
Launched in 2008 the MAN everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards seek to recognise and celebrate the success of women in transport and logistics. They showcase the diverse career opportunities available, encouraging more women and girls to consider a career in this sector and navigate their path to success - ultimately providing a pipeline of talent and future industry leaders.

Jon BumsteadCEO Neutral Consulting, The Neutral Group LtdJon is an energetic supply chain strategist with more than 23 year’s business experience in Europe, US, Asia and most recently, the Middle East (UAE). Jon helped shape the development of Supply-Chain thinking in the 1990s as one of Accenture’s leaders of the Global Supply-Chain practice, he has served on the DHL board (logistics division) between 2005-9 and was responsible for Global Strategy, M&A and Innovation. In 2009 Jon, together with two partners, spun out a business called The Neutral Group that had been incubated inside of DHL in the area of energy and carbon emission reduction strategy and execution. |

Mike DevannyDirector of Fleet and Maintenance Services, Royal Mail GroupSince joining Royal Mail in 1982, Mike Devanny has experienced various roles across Operations, Programme Management, Asset Management and Corporate Security. Today he is responsible for Royal Mail Group’s fleet of circa 34,000 vehicles; the largest in the UK including a national network of vehicle service centres. Mike also has responsibility for Royal Mail’s Asset Management within the Logistics function. As well as the day-to-day challenges that any role in Logistics can bring, Mike is also leading a transformation programme to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness of Royal Mail Group’s Fleet Operations. |

Mike DunnVice President, DHL Supply ChainMike Dunn commenced his career in the sector in 1977, and after progressing through a number of operational roles with logistics providers and major retailers, he joined DHL in 1999 as part of the Exel Operational team in the Retail Logistics Sector. Mike has undertaken a number of roles for DHL in Operations and Programme Management, including playing a leading role in DHL Supply Chain's Home Delivery Sector. He is currently leading a major internal HR Transformational change programme in the UK. |

Kate GibbsHead of Media Relations, RHAKate Gibbs is Head of Media Relations at the Road Haulage Association, the representative body for 9,000 road haulage companies ranging from owner-operators to those with fleets in excess of 1000 vehicles. Her role covers communication of freight transport industry issues at all levels, local, national and government together with raising public awareness and perception as to the vital role logistics plays in today’s economically challenged society. |

John Harvey CBEChairman, Keswick EnterprisesJohn Harvey is Chairman of Keswick Enterprises Limited, a UK based active investor in supply chain and forwarding businesses with interests in the Balkans, Ukraine, and Baltic. Formerly he was Chairman of Tibbett & Britten Group plc and acquired/developed businesses across Central Europe, four Continents including China and a dozen joint ventures. Originally John was Chairman of Unilever’s in-house UK logistics operations and its overseas associates. He is also Vice President of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. |

Daryl KeyworthHead of Operations, National Skills Academy LogisticsDaryl Keyworth is Head of Operations for the National Skills Academy for Logistics. With the support of the Skills Funding Agency the Academy is being shaped to meet the needs of employers ambitious to build capability in their organisations by ensuring they have the skilled workforces they need to compete in domestic and global markets. The Academy will meet this requirement by providing employers with access to a quality assured national network of logistics skills training and development providers. On a day to day basis, Daryl is responsible for the commercial delivery of the Academy’s products and services and direct management of the Academy team. |

Nikki King OBEManaging Director, Isuzu Truck (UK) LtdNikki King is the first female Managing Director of a UK commercial vehicle manufacturer. At 33 Nikki returned to work as a Secretary after a career break of eight years to have a family. She rose from this start to the position of National Fleet Sales Director for Lex and then Managing Director of Isuzu Truck (UK) Ltd in only fifteen years. She was awarded the OBE for services to the road transport industry in 2002, is an active member of the Commercial Vehicle Show Committee as well as the first female Vice President of the Society of Operations Engineers. Last year Nikki received an Honorary Doctorate from Staffordshire University for her work in inspiring women in industry and producing exemplary customer service and is now a non –executive director of Auto 22 – the retail arm of the Catch 22 charity. |

Theo de PencierChief Executive, Freight Transport AssociationTheo de Pencier is the Chief Executive of the Freight Transport Association (FTA) representing industry’s freight interests by road, rail, sea and air. The FTA has over 14,000 members who operate more than 200,000 trucks (half of the total in the UK), consign 90 percent of rail freight and 70 percent of visible exports. Theo’s early career was spent in sales and marketing with brand leading food and drink manufacturers Heinz and Diageo. He has over 25 years’ Board level experience in the logistics and supply chain industry working for NFC and Danzas before joining Bibby Line Group in 1999 as Managing Director of Bibby Distribution. He joined FTA in July 2007. He is an honours graduate in Economics and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. |
