About
The UK logistics sector is worth over £93 billion to the economy. One in twelve working people in the UK are employed in logistics equating to some 2.3 million people spanning 196,000 companies*. This illustrates just how diverse the sector is, offering fulfilling and exciting roles.
The FTA everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards create role models for the industry – shining a spotlight on inspirational women and the diverse opportunities available in this dynamic sector. Now in our sixth year, along with our title partner Freight Transport Association, we are once again celebrating the women working within transport & logistics who are enjoying fantastic success – and who will ultimately inspire others to join the sector, providing a pipeline of talent and future industry leaders. The Award categories have been expanded for 2013 to encompass both passenger and commercial transport.
The Freight Transport Association (FTA) and everywoman have also collaborated on an industry wide programme – The FTA everywoman Accelerate Programme which supports all operators in their desire to welcome a wider talent pool into the industry and support women into senior positions.
