Financial Services Lead the Way as Top Employers for Women
The recently published Times Top 50 Employers for Women has found financial-focused organisations to be leading the way, with 28 per cent of the list made up of companies such as American Express, Barclays Bank plc, BNY Mellon, Deloitte LLP, Santander UK plc and The Royal Bank of Scotland.
An example of an organisation actively providing opporrtunites for women right throughout its organisation is GE, which employs 18,000 staff in the UK, 40 per cent of whom are women. GE Capital is the organisation's financial arm, and 45 per cent of its senior leadership are female, and a third of board members are women.
Other industries reflected by the top employers for women in business include technology, legal, professional services and public sector.

The Top 50 Employers were judged by Opportunity Now, an organisation dedicated to championing the business benefits of diversity.
