We are delighted to launch nominations for the 2013 FDM everywoman in Technology Awards. These awards recognise, celebrate and encourage the female talent within technology, showcasing the existing and future female role models. The aim of these Awards is to encourage more women into this innovative and fast moving industry, one which rewards their talents. Our previous winners and finalists are truly inspirational – and we look forward to uncovering yet more talent in this, the third year of the Awards.

We are excited that the FDM Group have partnered with us to celebrate inspirational women in the technology industry. In a bid to combat the shortage of women in IT, FDM has implemented an initiative that encourages and supports women to enter the IT industry. FDM’s Women in IT campaign was launched in 2011 and aims to promote, encourage and support women in IT. Sheila Flavell, COO of FDM, is spearheading the initiative. FDM has also established a female mentoring programme where its Female Champions mentor fellow colleagues and organise events to raise awareness of the attractive opportunities in the IT industry for women.
