Hi Emma
I set up my first business five years ago after breaking-up with my long-term partner (4 years). I wanted to do something completely for myself so left my job, left my home (with the boyfriend in it) and started over.
My business is still going strong and I've never looked back.
Some of my friends thought I was mad, but sometimes you just have to make a stand and do what feels right - I loved the sense of freedom I had across all aspects of my life and I think it helped me to get over the break-up a lot quicker.
I now run two businesses, met someone who I fell madly in love with and have an 18 month old son - if I hadn't of taken the plunge back then would I have been on the same path to have ended up where I am now?!?!? Who knows!
