Yesterday was the inaugural CWT everywoman in Technology Awards and WOW – what a great event. The luncheon ceremony was held in the beautiful Landmark Hotel and with the sunlight pouring in through the glass atrium we welcomed spring into our lives with a celebration of the leading female technologists in the UK.

As was expected, the report highlights the need for real change, and at
this juncture we agree that enforcing quotas isn't the best way to
address this. There is just too much resistance from both men and women,
and our belief is that coercion is never the best agent for change. It
needs to be done on a company level and for companies themselves to
understand that to have a more balanced and diverse workforce, up and
down their organisations is in their best interest, both commercially
