Dr Rabinder Buttar, ClinTec International Ltd

Dr. Rabinder Buttar is the President and CEO of ClinTec International Group. Through providing guidance and leadership to the Senior Management and ClinTec Country Managers, Dr Buttar is committed to further grow and develop this organisation globally whilst preserving the work culture, ethics and high morale values that have got ClinTec where it is today.
PhD Degree in immunology in 1988. She has over twenty years clinical research experience, having held key positions at major pharmaceutical companies including Wellcome (now GSK), Wyeth, and Fujisawa (now Astellas). In addition, she has undertaken consulting assignments supporting management in Novartis, Bayer and Takeda.
In 1997, Dr. Buttar founded ClinTec International with the vision to provide the highest quality of clinical research service internationally to its clients bringing added value by being fast and flexible in meeting client clinical research and business goals. Dr. Buttar retains close cont act with both operational staff and clients ensuring that ClinTec International remains a company of high repute and not only well prepared to overcome present but also future challenges in a competitive market place. Dr Buttar has always made sure emerging markets was a major focus therefore ClinTec was one of the first CROs located in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, India, Dubai, the Middle East and North Africa. More recently, ClinTec has now begun the development of the Latin American market by successfully delivering several clinical trials.
With a keen interest in clinical research training, Dr. Buttar served for 4 years on the Board of the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR UK), a key organization for the development and education of clinical research professionals. Dr. Buttar is now an Honorary Fellow of ICR UK, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a member of the London-based Institute of Directors (IoD) and a graduate in Management Studies from Reading University. In addition to this she now serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Good Clinical Practise Journal (GCPj). The awards Dr Buttar has accumulated over the years include the Scottish Asian Business Awards ‘Entrepreneur of the year’ 2007, as well as the Lloyds TSB ‘Business & Commercial Excellence Award’ 2008.
In the pipeline for Dr Buttar is her new Biotechnology company that is due to be launched over the next coming months. The intent of the new company will be to develop novel medicines for the treatment of cancer. More information on this will be released soon.
